About us
Founded in 1868
Pembroke was founded in 1868 and is located at Sydney Parade, part of the old village of Sandymount in Dublin 4. The grounds were part of the lands of the Pembroke Estate from which the Club took its name. Today Pembroke CC is a thriving club with Mens, Ladies, Youths (boys and girls) at all levels.
Over the years we have been proud to win a number of titles in all categories including being the first holders of the Men’s Inaugural Leinster Senior Cup in 1935 and on twelve occasions since and our Women’s 1 XI won The Women’s Inaugural All Ireland Cup in 2021.
2024 saw our Men’s 1st XI and Women’s 1st XI taking their league titles, the Women notably only losing one game in the series. In March of 2025 Pembroke was presented with the Club of the Year 2024 award at the Business Plus Irish Cricket Awards.

Youth
At Pembroke we particularly value our youth policy and a measure of its success is the number of young players that have come through our coaching system to our Senior teams and to Interprovincial and National level.
Governance
Pembroke CC is affiliated to Cricket Ireland and Cricket Leinster and abides by all regulations in place. As we have an ever growing youth membership we pay particular attention to and monitor compliance to all guidelines regarding child safety.
Social
Pembroke has always been a sociable club and we do pride ourselves on being just that and welcoming to all visitors. We are blessed with our situation, our ample outdoor seating, our bar and clubhouse (which we continue to improve).
But of course, its our stunning and superbly tended grounds which both players and spectators can enjoy topped off by the sunny Pembroke wall which is just the perfect place for relaxing, catching the rays, watching some cricket and meeting friends old and new.
We also recognise that none of this would exist without the many members who give their time voluntarily for all manner of things from participating in committees to coaching to managing teams young and old, and organising social functions. All of which is backed up by a very professional and super ground and bar staff.
