The 1st XI had a good weekend with two victories over Railway Union and Phoenix. Railway were without Kevin O'Brien, however Pat Collins had proved earlier in the season that he was the man Pembroke needed to get out.
Batting first, Pembroke secured a massive breakthrough when Allan Eastwood removed Collins first ball of the match. Railway could only manage 138 all out. In reply, Theo Lawson batted superbly for 54* and Pembroke won by 9 wickets. Pembroke are now in the Semi Final of the Leinster Senior Cup. Scorecard
On Sunday, Pembroke travelled to Phoenix and their Division 1 campaign received a much needed boost. Pembroke bowled Phoenix all out for 218. In reply, Pembroke reached the target for the loss of 5, and Theo in the runs again with 88*. Scorecard
